STEAM Lesson Planning Project 2020

The fifteen STEAM lesson plans differ from the other existing courses which focus on technology and render art a mere decoration. Instead, taking art as the central focus, these lesson plans systematically connect different education stages, including kindergarten, elementary school, junior high school, and senior high school, and combine diverse, cross-disciplinary learning, design thinking, hands-on operation, and problem-solving skills to produce cross-disciplinary courses centering on art.

Artists and teachers are like navigators guiding students through the mega constellation that is New Taipei City, leading them to explore the environment through various perspectives and methods and eventually bring home their works. The NTCAM hopes that the project can bring contemporary art into schools and everyday life and build an art education community comprising the museum, artist-tutors, and teachers to invite the public to open up more possibilities of contemporary art education.
