園區簡介

The New Taipei City Art Museum comprises the main museum building, the Creative Site, and the outdoor NTCAM Park, forming a public space that integrates art, ecology, and leisure.

NTCAM Park, filled with lush greenery, serves as a daily retreat for local residents to relax, take walks, and exercise. The park features riverbanks, sandpits, hills, and fields, fostering a rich ecological environment with stunning scenery.

Adjacent to the main museum building, the Creative Site is a renovated space transformed from the former San-ying Art Village. It serves as an artist residency and a multi-functional art venue, hosting diverse cultural events and continuing to be a hub for artistic exchange and promotion.

Designed by architect Kris Yao, the architecture of the NTCAM consists of two parts: the main building and the ground-level Creative Clusters. The architectural design weaves together cultural and historical perspectives, foregrounding the balance between the building and the natural environment, highlighting the dialogue between modernity and humanity in contemporary architectural practice. The design of the Creative Clusters simulates the fractured form of the Dahan River bed, with the main building spanning above. The varying textured walls conjure a visual effect of an edifice being translucent, allowing the museum space to interact with the urban space, evoking an aesthetically pleasing environment accessible to all.
