Session I|Sound from the South: Regional Perspectives on Modern Architecture|13:30–15:05
This session focuses on the diverse responses of modern architecture in the Global South, exploring how architectural practices engage with tropical climates, cultural contexts, and environmental awareness to create spaces of shelter and healing. Speakers will share how regional vocabularies, material sensibilities, and everyday experiences challenge the limitations of temperate architectural thinking, demonstrating resilience and innovation in navigating between fear and cure.

Session II|Architecture Disenchanted and Re-enchanted: Rethinking the Local and the Modern|15:15–17:00
This panel engages with the dialectics of disenchantment and re-enchantment, reflecting on how modern architecture can respond to contemporary challenges through locally grounded practices. The discussion will examine the processes of transformation between tradition and modernity, everyday life and spirituality, revealing how architecture—within reconstructed contexts—can return to its essential role as shelter, becoming a vessel for cultural vitality and healing power.
