Artists:Eisa Jocson & Venuri Perera

Through the evocative archetypes of "the witch" and "the maid," "Magic Maids: Sweeping Sisters" unearths a misogynistic framework in which these roles—both feared and controlled—exist along the same continuum. Jocson and Venuri's performance compels us to consider how deeply ingrained stereotypes influence perceptions of women’s labor and identity. With sweeping gestures and ritualistic movement, they invite the audience to question the boundaries between labor, art, and the politics of the female body, elevating simple actions into a powerful message on resilience and reclamation.
*This performance is a mobile exhibition, and no seating will be provided on-site.
*Children under 12 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
*This performance will be conducted in English.
Spa & Beauty

2025/8/10 (Sun.), 14:00-14:30
Venue:NTCAM, 6A Gallery
Artist:Geumhyung Jeong
"Spa & Beauty" explores the relationship of body-objects, highlighting the tactility of a type of highly industrialised care manifested in beauty and body care products. Brushes, sponges, soaps and other functional objects that touch our naked body on a daily basis form a disconcerting display, creating a narrative that invites one to reconsider ideas of beauty, intimacy and consumption.
In the performance, the artist treats her body as a medium par excellence, activates the modern artefacts by using them in particular, even idiosyncratic ways, shedding light on the sprays, bottles, bathtubs, and the pleasure of consuming and touching.
*This performance is a mobile exhibition, and no seating will be provided on-site. Limited to 30 participants.
*Children under 12 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
*This performance will be conducted in English.
